Men have died seeking a single piece of information which was worthless a month later. To transfer information to another, a common technique is the dead letter box—a well-concealed, public location where you leave something for pickup. After you’ve safely left the area, the recipient is notified where the package can be found. Here we see a close-range handoff, but in real life that would never happen.
